The Fairless Creek placer deposits lie to the west of the gold-bearing veins of Blackdome Mountain, a possible source of the gold in Fairless Creek. The auriferous gravels of Fairless Creek were tested in conjunction with the Borin Creek placer showing (092O 031).

During the period 1931 to 1940 recorded production from Fairless Creek is reported to be 1770 grams of gold from an unknown quantity of gravel (Bulletin 28, page 33).
